Long Bay Services will continue LBMC history of encouraging minority employment and minority business participation in its development projects. The firm has offered employment and advancement to all people regardless of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, handicap or sexual preference and fully complies with the Americans With Disabilities Act . In addition, LBMC has consistently exceeded the State of Massachusetts’ and City of Boston’s minority hiring goals and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) contract participation requirements. The Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency has praised Long Bay Management for its outstanding record on several rehabilitation projects: Blue Mountain, completed in December 1988; Boston Bay, Hope Bay and Morrant Bay, completed in 1993, and New Port Antonio Development, completed in 1998, all achieved 80% of MBE participation.
Long Bay Management continues to promote economic opportunity of the community and will take all necessary steps to ensure that minority firms are used whenever possible. Management will make sure that all contracts comply with state and federal equal opportunity statutes. When opportunities arise, there will be an invitation to bid that will be publicly advertised in the local newspapers. The description of services, along with a complete description of the scope of work, will be provided to the bidders in order to obtain proper response.
